This continuity was also recognized at the end of last year, when the company was awarded the Iskra Award for outstanding contribution to philanthropy at the national level, presented by the Fund for Active Citizenship - fAKT.
The Chamber of Commerce award was received, on behalf of the company, by executive director Branko Mitrović, who emphasized that this recognition is not only a confirmation of the results achieved, but also of the values that the company promotes every day.
"We didn't run for recognition, but for change. For those small but important moments – when children get new gym equipment, when a scholarship can change someone's path, when we help those who need it most, without fanfare," said Mitrović. "This award is confirmation that it is worth doing things differently. That it is worth investing in people, in the community, in trust."
Last year, One implemented a number of projects, the most prominent of which was “1 Changes the World”. In cooperation with the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, the company donated sports equipment to primary schools across Montenegro, and organized meetings between children and Olympians and top athletes. The culmination of the project was a large cross-country race on Ćemovsko polje, which brought together more than 500 participants, encouraging young people to engage in sports and promote a healthy lifestyle.
"We don't view social responsibility as something that must be done - but as what essentially defines us. Our greatest success is the moments when we see that something we did really changed someone's day, path, or gave them a reason to smile," Mitrović pointed out.
Additionally, One Montenegro implemented the “Girls in ICT” initiative in 2024, inspiring young girls to step into the world of technology and believe in their abilities in this sector. This project was instrumental in promoting equality in access to digital skills, creating opportunities for women in one of the fastest growing sectors.
The company has also provided significant support to cultural and environmental projects, including the Wild Beauty Art Festival, the Underhill Festival and the Herceg Novi Comic Festival. At the same time, One has supported humanitarian initiatives launched by organizations such as UNICEF and the Red Cross, providing assistance to the most vulnerable groups, including children with disabilities, as well as vulnerable communities in Turkey and Syria.
"For us, responsibility is a way of life. Every initiative, every project, arises from the desire to make something concrete and lasting change in people's lives. That is why we dedicate this award to all those who encourage us to be better - our team, partners, but also the community that inspires us every day," said Mitrović.
Mitrović thanked the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro for the recognition, emphasizing that this recognition is of particular importance for One because it comes from an institution that understands the challenges and responsibilities of doing business. He also congratulated the other laureates, including CKB, Logate, Ening, MM Ribarstvo, Daido Metal and Miranis, who, as he pointed out, together with One are taking steps towards a more responsible and sustainable business community.
"We will continue on, with the same dedication and responsibility. Because true success is measured by what truly brings changes to people's lives," concluded Mitrović.
