It was officially opened in Budva yesterday Belgian Tourism Congress, which is held with the support of National tourist organizations of Montenegro. As part of this event, 160 representatives of tour operators, travel agencies and key players of the Belgian tourism industry are visiting Montenegro. This is one of the most important events for establishing and strengthening cooperation with the Belgian market.
She spoke at the opening Simonida Kordić, Minister of Tourism, emphasizing that Belgian travelers increasingly value the safety of the destination, pleasant climate, and comfort when traveling.
"Montenegro offers exactly that — a combination of authentic experiences, natural beauty and an increasingly high-quality tourist offer," said Kordić, adding that sustainability plays an increasingly important role in choosing a destination, especially when it comes to guests from Belgium.

She pointed out that Montenegro is actively developing tourism that is in line with ecological principles, relies on local products and communities, and increasingly involves visitors in the preservation of natural resources. "We want our guests to experience the country through its authentic tastes, smells and landscapes, while at the same time feeling that they are part of a broader vision — a vision of tourism that conserves, not consumes. Through direct communication with our Belgian partners, we want to further strengthen Montenegro's position on the Belgian market, as well as to enable a deeper understanding of the potential that our destination offers," Kordić emphasized.

Director of the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, Dr. Ana Tripković Marković, She stated that the Belgian Tourism Congress is an event of great strategic importance for Montenegro, as it brings together key decision-makers from the Belgian tourism industry and enables direct business meetings that lead to concrete agreements.
"It is a great pleasure to host the two largest associations of Belgian tour operators, which bring together more than 1000 members, and 160 of their representatives are currently in Montenegro. As part of this Congress, the NTO of Montenegro successfully organized a business workshop at which our businessmen established direct contacts with Belgian partners, which, with great interest from both sides, further confirmed the importance of such meetings for strengthening cooperation. Also present were representatives of Belgian airlines and airports, who expressed interest in establishing and strengthening air connections with Montenegro, which would further contribute to increasing tourist traffic from this market," concluded Dr. Tripković Marković.

Over the next three days, Belgian partners will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the diverse offer of Montenegro, which includes hotel capacities, natural beauty, rich culture and history, authentic gastronomy and numerous activities.
