Croatia Airlines, the national airline of Croatia, has announced the expansion of its direct route between Tirana and Zagreb. Starting in July this year, the company will increase the number of flights from two to three per week – on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays – providing passengers with greater flexibility and comfort. The seasonal route, successfully launched last year, continues to be a key connection between the two capitals during the tourist season.
Return tickets are available for 143 euros via the airline's official website: www.croatiaairlines.com.
Representatives of Croatia Airlines, the Albanian Tourism Organization, the Croatian National Tourist Board and Tirana International Airport were present at the event.
During the 2025 tourist season, Croatia Airlines will fly to 30 international destinations at 31 European airports, offering more than 18.200 flights and over 2,26 million seats – representing an 18% increase in capacity compared to 2024.
Marija Pavić, Sales Director at Croatia Airlines, said: “Last year we introduced flights between Zagreb and Tirana with two weekly frequencies. This year we are adding a third flight on Tuesdays, starting in July. The Albanian market shows great potential – not only for passengers coming to Croatia, but also for those using Zagreb as a transfer hub for further destinations in Europe, such as the UK, Germany, Switzerland and Scandinavia.”

The Croatian National Tourist Board has pointed out that Albania is becoming an increasingly popular destination among Croatian tourists.
Renata Dezeljin, a member of the Croatian National Tourist Board, said: "Albanian travelers are more than welcome in Croatia - a country that offers a stunning coastline, over a thousand islands, rich gastronomy, warm hospitality and a year-round tourist offer."

Croatia Airlines' presence in Albania supports growing tourism and business ties between the two countries, while also following the significant development of Tirana International Airport (TIA).
In 2024, TIA saw a record 10,7 million passengers, and that trend continues thanks to the airport's ongoing modernization.
Piervittorio Farabbi, Chief Operating Officer of Tirana International Airport, said: “This is an important moment for TIA. With more than 50 airlines operating year-round, growth continues. We are expanding the terminal to accommodate up to 15 million passengers per year and extending the runway to meet growing demand. We are committed to providing the best possible experience for our passengers.”
