The Nutrino brand, dedicated to supporting healthy development and adopting healthy lifestyle habits from an early age, has launched an important long-term regional campaign aimed at preventing childhood obesity – one of the most serious challenges of modern childhood. The first activity within the framework of this initiative in Montenegro was participation in the 4th International Congress of Preventive Pediatrics in Budva, held from 12 to 15 June, where Nutrino was the sponsor and organizer of the expert lecture "Prevention of Childhood Obesity – Gastroenterological and Endocrinological Aspects."
The lecture was given by Dr. Snežana Lešović, a pediatric endocrinologist from the Čigota Special Hospital and one of the creators of CME education, and Dr. Dušanka Novosel, a pediatrician-gastroenterologist from the Milmedika Primary Health Care Center in Podgorica.

The event brought together pediatricians from across the region to exchange knowledge and experiences on the most important topics in the field of preventive pediatric care. In this context, the lecture supported by the Nutrino brand not only enriched the professional program of the congress, but also marked the beginning of a significant regional socially responsible campaign dedicated to the prevention of obesity in children. Nutrino says that they believe that this gathering was an important step towards a deeper understanding of the role of early identification, continuous attention and proactive prevention in the fight for a healthier future for the youngest.
The CEO of Baby Food Factory, one of the initiators of the initiative together with Nelt, Marina Bulut, emphasized the importance of joint action: "These numbers are a call to action. Preventing childhood obesity must become a shared priority – not only for parents and healthcare professionals, but also for all socially responsible companies. We believe that knowledge, support and timely education can make a real difference in the lives of children," Bulut emphasized.

The focus of the campaign will be on educating healthcare workers and raising public awareness about the importance of proper nutrition at an early age, as well as the importance of early prevention and identification, as well as reducing obesity, a problem that affects an increasing number of children in the region.
During 2025, the campaign will include a series of strategic activities, such as organizing roundtables with experts in Montenegro and the region, developing and distributing educational materials for healthcare professionals and parents, conducting professional lectures with CME accreditation for pediatricians and pharmacists, as well as continuous activities in the media and on social networks with the aim of involving the wider public.
The Nutrino brand and the companies Baby Food Factory and Nelt remain firmly committed to improving children's health, believing that information, education and preventive action are the keys to creating healthier generations and society as a whole.
