In the initiative of the Association "Parents" dedicated to children from socially vulnerable families, they show what solidarity means to them, and the first Montenegrin mobile operator doubled their contribution. In this way, even more children receive everything they need for a successful start to the school year.
"This is how One Company shows that social responsibility is not only an obligation, but also a privilege – an opportunity to change society for the better together. I am especially proud of our employees, because year after year they prove that humanity and solidarity can bridge differences and help those who need it most. It is precisely thanks to their selflessness that we have decided to further double their contribution, in order to together ensure an easier and more beautiful start to the school year for as many children as possible," she said. Biljana Radusinović, Executive Director for Human Resources at One.
Kristina Mihailović, executive director of the Parents Association She pointed out that the humanitarian campaign "Let's share, because together we can do more" has changed over the years, both in the types of support provided to families and in the number of municipalities it has covered. That path, she says, would not have been possible without solidarity.
"For the last two years, we have been trying to help the most vulnerable in all municipalities, and we would not have succeeded if it were not for companies like ONE and its employees who recognize this issue and want to make their contribution. Unfortunately, we will not help all children who need support, and I would like to remind you that in our country every third child is at risk of poverty, but we will try every year to increase the number of those included, as well as to encourage the state and municipalities to take on their share of obligations and responsibilities," she said.
These statistics about poverty in our country, in real life, look like a gap between people and those who should be equal - children.
"We believe that we can all contribute to at least somewhat reducing the social gap when it comes to children. This campaign always comes at the right time - before starting school, when parents do their best to ensure that their children are ready for school. It is an opportunity for the community to show solidarity and lend a hand of support. In this way, we send the message that no child should feel forgotten, but should have an equal chance to learn, grow and develop their potential," said Radusinović.
The very assumption that the ability to give and the will to do so are something that can make life better, also represents an opportunity for institutions and individuals to get involved and contribute. "Because when each of us does our part, together we can create a community in which no child is left behind," said the company One.
