For the ninth year in a row, MK Group and AikGroup have organized the traditional event "Support to the Family", within which they reward their employees who have become parents in the current year. This year, almost 100.000 euros were allocated for 170 new babies, and over the nine years of the program, more than 1.000 families and a total of 1.800 babies have been awarded with an amount of over 700.000 euros. The event was attended by a large number of employees with their children, who enjoyed the entertainment program and animations prepared for them. In addition, the companies provided New Year's vouchers for all employees' children, worth more than 300.000 euros.
At an event for employees, Aleksandar Kostić, President of MK Group and Vice President of the Board of Directors of AikGroup, within which Hipotekarna Banka operates in Montenegro, also announced significant increases in financial resources that will be allocated for future babies of employees starting next year.
"Behind each of the 170 babies born this year in the families of our colleagues is a story of a new beginning, joy and hope. That is why we are proud to have welcomed them with support of almost 100.000 euros, with a sincere desire to make the first days of their lives easier and more beautiful. In recent years, through the "Support to the Family" program, we have provided assistance to the families of our employees and shown that we are with them, not only when they achieve business success, but also when they fulfill the most important role in life, the role of parents. We will continue to invest in the people and communities in which we operate, because we believe that supporting the family is the most important investment in the future," she said. The "Family Support" program was launched in 2017 as an internal program, with the desire to reward employees who have a new baby in the current year. Over time, the idea and desire to expand it externally emerged, with donations that supported family policy measures, parents, children and young people throughout the Adria region. Together, MK Group and AikGroup have made a series of donations in the countries in which they operate, in Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia and Slovenia. In previous years, donations were made to seven maternity hospitals with a total value of 570.000 euros, including the maternity hospital in Cetinje, 20 kindergartens, including kindergartens in Podgorica and Budva, received 680.000 euros, while four student dormitories, including the student dormitory in Podgorica, received a total of 350.000 euros. The companies will continue their successful socially responsible activities in the coming years.
