The company in Montenegro is managed by a female executive director. Ljilja Pižurica, recognized as an important voice of the entire business community. Her leadership based on trust, support and a clear vision, encourages employees to believe in themselves. New generations are given the opportunity to learn and build a career in the logistics, distribution and transport sectors, which were once perceived as "typically male", and today are areas where women at Nelt MNE make key decisions, lead teams and change the rules of the game.
But to truly become inspiring leaders, it wasn't enough to just open the company's doors to them, but also to build a system that supports them in their everyday lives. That is why Nelt, in line with the strategic direction "Rise 2030", does not measure business success solely by profit, but also by employee satisfaction. Employees have private health insurance, discounts at partner health institutions, and through the Fitpass model, they train at gyms and sports centers under preferential conditions. There are also more favorable conditions for traveling, shopping, and using various services, because taking care of people does not end when they leave the office.
The culture of appreciation is also reflected in the way Nelt recognizes important life moments and individual contributions. Employees who get married receive financial compensation, and loyalty and personal engagement are valued through anniversary reward programs and various incentives. Family is a particularly important part of this story. Children of employees starting first grade receive school packages, and parents have the day off that day. Children under 10 receive New Year's gifts, while flexible working hours and the ability to work from home help parents more easily balance private and work responsibilities.
Special attention is paid to mothers-to-be and expectant mothers. For employees in positions with a stimulating salary model, the payment of average stimulation is provided during pregnancy and the entire period of maternity leave. Upon return, each mother returns to her own position or a position of the same rank, with a simplified work regime. So, in addition to a cash gift and a product package for the birth of a child, the family moment also receives concrete support from the employer.
When you put it all together, it becomes clear why At Nelt MNE, feminine energy becomes the driving force. In such an environment, employees do not have to choose between career and family, but can build both at their own pace. That's why they are inspiring leaders. Expert, dedicated, supported, and brave enough to push boundaries every day, both for themselves and for generations to come.
Forwarding, people and results Business signature of Milica Jovićević
The story of Milica Jovićević, sales and development manager of freight forwarding services, gives concrete contours to the picture of women at Nelt MNE. She has been in the business world for almost two decades, and at Nelt long enough that, she says, she sees it as a place where she has the "luxury to be herself". And it is precisely this luxury, imbued with years of experience and authentic leadership, that gives her a clear focus. That's why her morning starts early, with her first cup of coffee and a phone in her hand. Calls to colleagues in branches outside the headquarters, and substantive briefings in which they check the planned activities by business unit and define priorities. Only when she has a clear picture of what awaits the team that day, does she move on to other obligations.
"I also spend a lot of time communicating with clients and government agencies. My mother never understood exactly what I do, and that's when I realized that it's hard for me to describe it either. In the end, I said - I solve problems, I advise, I respond to requests. I support people who work in operations. Or at least that's how I like to see myself," says Milica.
It is in this role of "invisible support" that she finds the greatest part of her professional identity. She is happy with completed tasks and team successes. When they solve a challenging situation, introduce a new procedure, improve the system and confirm the role of a leader in innovation. And such results are easier to achieve in an environment that does not hinder, but encourages.
"I've been with the company for so long that I feel completely accepted and I allow myself to be myself through direct access and very open communication. The job is such that we get stimulation every day. But the need to finish everything, to achieve results and be as good as possible, motivates us day after day," explains Milica.
She looks at stories that freight forwarding is a "man's job" with a gentle smile. That was, she says, 15-20 years ago, when she was just starting her career. Now the situation is different.
"Even then, my colleagues were supportive and I never felt left out. Today, there are so many women in the organization, mostly in leadership positions, that I often think that we would welcome more male colleagues for the sake of balance," he says with a smile.
She adds that she has always been ambitious and has had no problem finding common ground with her colleagues. However, if she had the chance to turn back time, she would still do some things differently.
"I think I am a good incentive for the rest of the organization that we must do better and more. On the other hand, this very attitude that we must do more has always brought challenges to my communication. I would just change that. I would communicate ideas and suggestions more wisely, be more tolerant and have more understanding for differences," states Milica, with a clear message that a good leader is not born, but is created through various challenges, but also the strength to admit one's own mistakes.
On the other hand, those close to you don't suffer in this whole story. Balance is the key, and Nelt MNE is an environment where it is possible to clearly draw the line between private and professional life. And it is this balance that gives her the strength to be equally present every day - both as a professional and as a supporter of her family.
That's why through Milica's experience, the female energy at Nelt MNE takes on a very concrete form. These or similar stories stand behind the photographs of women from Nelt – as proof that a successful business and strong female leaders in this company complement each other and go hand in hand.
