The students presented the projects they had been working on, right in front of One employees, defending their ideas and solutions with the maturity and confidence of professionals. In a stimulating atmosphere, the sense of trust that the company showed to young people was almost tangible, giving them the space to show themselves, learn and grow.
"The final project was the most dynamic and valuable part of this journey, because it turned theory into a concrete solution. It encouraged me to think more creatively and strategically, improve team cooperation, and present ideas with more confidence. My message to future generations of the Academy: be curious and stand bravely behind your ideas, because challenges like these build leaders," she added. Antonela Garbin from the Faculty of Economics.
The One Academy was implemented in cooperation with the University of Montenegro, based on the Memorandum of Cooperation signed in September. Rector of the University of Montenegro Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović i executive director of the One company Branko Mitrović.
"One Academy is our way to give young people the opportunity to show what they know, but also to experience what working in a real business environment looks like. At the same time, this is our way to bring the best practices from the world to Montenegro, where it is unthinkable to complete studies without similar programs. The benefit does not only belong to the students, but also to us as a company, because their contact with our people also brings a lot of invaluable things. Thank you for your enthusiasm and energy, as well as another confirmation that investing in young people is the best and most sustainable investment," he said. Mitrovic.
At an event dedicated to the finale of the first One Academy, President of the Board of Directors of the University of Montenegro, Prof. Dr. Milivoje Radović, emphasized that the University of Montenegro strongly believes in education that does not remain only in classrooms.
“That is why initiatives like this are valuable, because they give students the opportunity to test their acquired knowledge in a real professional environment and to step into the world of work with more confidence,” said Radović. He also recalled the University of Montenegro project “Scholarships for the best, jobs with the best”, in which the One company is one of the partners, and which confirms the University's commitment to providing the most successful students with the best opportunities for development and improvement.
Executive Director for Human Resources Management at One, Biljana Radusinović, thanked the University of Montenegro for its support and partnership in this important project.
"One Academy was designed with the aim of enabling young people to experience firsthand how a corporation lives and works, but also to understand that anything is possible if they believe in their own potential. My message to you is - read, but not just from the screen. Ask, be curious and do not accept ready-made answers for granted. Be persistent and courageous, because knowledge without courage remains silent. And never, ever, compromise with your own integrity, because that is something that no one can take away from you," Radusinović told the students.
In its first edition, One Academy covered all key areas of modern business – from management and business operations, through telecommunications and human resource management, to communication skills, marketing, finance and project management. Students who had the opportunity to expand their knowledge here recommend this very program to the next generation.
"The presentations were organized brilliantly, and the entire team gave us great support, showing that we should really be proud to be members of the first generation of the One Academy. I bring with me a wonderful experience, a lot of quality acquaintances and knowledge that will certainly be useful in my life and career. Thank you to the One company once again and my recommendations to everyone who wants to be part of the next generations," he emphasized. Milovan Bulajic, Faculty of Sport and Physical Education.
The first One Academy laid the foundations for a program that continues, as a long-term platform for the development of young talents and connecting education and the economy.
