The program was implemented in cooperation with the organization I love France., with the support of the International Union of Alsace, the Municipality of Herceg Novi and the Herceg Novi Tourist Organization, which provided a strong framework for international professional cooperation and improvement of the tourist offer through the positioning of Montenegro and Herceg Novi as a gastronomic destination.

During the five-day program, renowned chefs and gastronomy professionals underwent intensive training based on a combination of French and Michelin philosophies with local Montenegrin ingredients and culinary tradition — an approach that combines technical precision, work discipline, a deep understanding of the quality and character of ingredients, and consistency in creating complex and authentic gastronomic expressions.
The program was led by world-renowned mentors — French chefs Michel Husser, owner of the legendary Le Cerf restaurant – the only restaurant with an uninterrupted Michelin star for 90 years, and Christian Cottard, world vice-champion in pastry.
Through practical and mentoring work, the participants improved their knowledge through modern haute gastronomy techniques that will help them in the further work and development of their restaurants, which the mentors passed on based on their rich professional experience.
"It was a great pleasure for us to work with such experienced and dedicated chefs. Through practical sessions and exchange of experiences, we had the opportunity to present to them our techniques and approaches to haute gastronomy, which they can apply in their work, and they, in turn, shared their knowledge and experiences, which made the program extremely inspiring for all participants," said chef Michel Husser.
Upon completion of the training, participants received certificates that were recognized by the international region of Alsace, one of the most important gastronomic regions in Europe, which has 36 Michelin-awarded restaurants, which gives the program international credibility.
Participants' impressions confirm that the program represented an extremely valuable experience of professional development, knowledge exchange, and international networking in an environment that encourages top culinary creativity.
The organizers emphasize that this program is the first in a series of planned activities, while the next MCEU Masterclass is already scheduled for October at the same location - at the Lazure Hotel & Marina.
