Grawe Insurance Company, in cooperation with MTEL Digital Factory i The Do Good Foundation, organized the event "Safe and online", dedicated to online safety, digital communication and the challenges young people face on social networks.
The event was held at the MTEL Digital Factory, and brought together high school students, representatives of the education system, the IT community, and experts in the field of digital communication, with the aim of opening an important conversation about the impact of the Internet and social networks on the everyday lives of young people.
Through a panel discussion and conversation with participants, they talked about digital literacy, the pressure of social networks, the mental health of young people, the importance of responsible online communication, as well as the role of parents and schools in creating a safer digital environment.
A special focus of the event was on raising awareness about how much words and content posted online can influence others, with the campaign message #ThinkBeforeYouPost.
Grawe Insurance says that security today means much more than the traditional concept of protection.
"The Internet and social networks have become an indispensable part of growing up for new generations, and that is precisely why we believe it is important to talk openly about digital safety, communication and relationships among young people in the online space. Through the 'Safe and Online' initiative, we wanted to encourage young people to think about the way they communicate online, but also to send the message that behind every profile there is a real person. We believe that education, open conversation and mutual understanding play an important role in creating a healthier and safer digital environment for young people," Grawe Insurance announced.
The Do Good Foundation emphasizes that it is important to continuously talk to young people about topics that are part of their everyday lives.
"Young people today do a large part of their communication online, which is why it is important to create a space where they can openly talk about the experiences, pressures, and challenges they face on social networks.
"We believe that education, conversation, and mutual support can contribute to creating a more positive digital space and healthier relationships among young people," said the Do Good Foundation.
The event "Safe Online" was organized with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of responsible behavior on the internet and improving digital culture among young people.
