Wizz Air operates direct flights from Tirana to some of the most popular and desirable destinations in Spain, including Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Santander, Malaga and Palma de Mallorca, providing Albanian travelers with numerous opportunities to explore the most special regions of Spain.
Turespaña, Wizz Air and Tirana International Airport (TIA) organized a presentation event in Tirana for Spanish destinations, bringing together media representatives, tour operators, tourism industry representatives and institutional partners to highlight new destinations between Albania and Spain, as well as explore new opportunities to strengthen tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries.
"Thanks to the expansion of air connectivity, we are recording a significant growth in tourist exchange between our two countries. Currently, around 100.000 Spanish visitors choose Albania as a destination, while approximately 40.000 Albanians travel to Spain."

“Spain offers an extremely diverse tourist experience — from culture and gastronomy to beaches, nature and urban getaways,” said Blanca Perez-Sauquillo, Tourism Counselor at the Embassy of Spain in Albania. “Through this presentation event, we are pleased to present some of the most attractive Spanish destinations to the Albanian market and further strengthen tourism ties between Spain and Albania.”

The latest destinations added to Wizz Air's list of destinations from Tirana are Palma de Mallorca and Santander, offering new options for summer holidays and year-round travel.
The continued development of Tirana International Airport has been further supported by strategic investments by Kastrati Group, which have significantly contributed to the expansion of airport infrastructure, increased operational capacity and the introduction of new international destinations. This transformation has further strengthened TIA's role as a key regional hub for tourism and air connectivity in Europe.
