Sustainable logistics, community investment and youth development

Nelt Group continued to invest in renewable energy sources through the development of solar capacity, the application of heat pumps and geothermal energy, while further improving transport operations and developing intermodal transport. In the past two years, Nelt transported more than 115.000 TEUs by rail between key European ports, avoiding the emission of over 36.000 tons of CO₂. On the social front, a three-year partnership with UNICEF worth $1,3 million was launched in 2024, aimed at improving education and developing digital and green skills for children and youth in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Angola.

Intermodality as a driver of a more competitive and resilient economy

As part of the event, there was also Panel discussion "Intermodality in practice: partnership towards more efficient, resilient and greener supply chains", which brought together experts from the fields of logistics, economy, international transport and financing of sustainable development. The focus of the panel was on the development of intermodal transport, green and digital transitions, as well as cooperation between the economy, institutions and the financial sector in building more sustainable regional supply chains. It was concluded that intermodality is one of the key drivers of a more competitive and resilient economy.

Sustainable logistics in Montenegro: parcel machines, electric vehicles and digitalization

In the Montenegrin market, sustainability is recognized through projects that improve everyday logistics processes and bring users a simpler and more efficient service. The most significant examples are the introduction of parcel machines and electric delivery vehicles, which have made a concrete step towards the gradual decarbonization of operations and the reduction of emissions from transport. A significant step forward has also been achieved through the digitalization of logistics and administrative processes. The use of the E-manifest application enables electronic data transfer between customs services, which contributes to faster information processing, timely completion of customs documentation and greater efficiency of logistics flows.
