This result confirms the expertise of our multidisciplinary team, the quality of work organization, and the trust that patients from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad place in us every day. Patients who underwent PET/CT diagnostics at Vitalis yesterday came from different parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as from neighboring countries, which further confirms the importance and recognition of our center at the regional level.
PET/CT diagnostics today represents one of the most important methods in the detection, monitoring and assessment of the success of treatment of numerous oncological diseases. Timely performance of this examination often plays a key role in making decisions about further treatment of the patient, which is why it is extremely important to ensure the availability of the examination without long waiting lists.

FIRST INTERSTATE AGREEMENT WITH MONTENEGRO
A special breakthrough was achieved this year with the signing of the first international agreement between the Vitalis Polyclinic and Day Hospital and the Health Insurance Fund of Montenegro.
This is a historic agreement that has enabled Montenegrin insured persons to have PET/CT diagnostics performed in Mostar at the expense of their health insurance. Since the signing of the agreement, more than 30 patients from Montenegro have successfully undergone PET/CT scans at our center.
Before this collaboration, many patients were forced to travel to distant European centers, often spending several days on the road, to have their diagnostic work done. Today, they have access to cutting-edge PET/CT diagnostics much closer to home, with shorter waiting times and faster results.
SUCCESS THAT IS THE RESULT OF TEAMWORK
The achievement of a record 25 PET/CT scans in one day is the result of the dedicated work of the entire team at the Vitalis PET/CT Center. We would like to express our special gratitude to our nuclear medicine and radiology specialists, radiology engineers, nurses, administrative staff, and all employees who participate in the organization and implementation of this complex diagnostic procedure on a daily basis.
We would also like to thank all our patients for their trust. Their trust is the greatest confirmation of the quality of our work and the motivation for further improvement of our healthcare services.
We would also like to express our special thanks to our long-time partner, Intradepharm doo, an authorized distributor of radioactive isotopes necessary for performing PET/CT diagnostics. In order to facilitate the realization of this demanding undertaking, their team organized two separate deliveries of radiopharmaceuticals during the same day – one in the morning and one in the afternoon shift. This level of professionalism, organization, and cooperation was crucial for the successful implementation of the record number of scans.
STATE-OF-THE-ART EQUIPMENT AND AN EXPERIENCED TEAM OF EXPERTS
The Vitalis PET/CT Center is equipped with the latest generation device and brings together a team of specialists in nuclear medicine, radiology, radiological technology, and other experts who jointly participate in the diagnostic process.
Continuous investment in equipment, staff training, and the development of new services has enabled Vitalis to become one of the leading PET/CT centers in Southeast Europe and a reference point for patients in need of modern oncology diagnostics.
A record 25 PET/CT scans in one day is not just a statistic. It is proof that the joint work of healthcare professionals, partners and patients can push the boundaries of healthcare and enable faster and more accessible diagnostics for all who need it. Vitalis Polyclinic and Day Hospital will continue to invest in the development of its capacities in order to remain synonymous with top-notch medical service in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.
