Oro Verde begins construction in Ulcinj, marking the beginning of a new luxury project on the Adriatic

The ceremony marked the start of work on the project, conceived as a blend of luxury housing, sustainable development and long-term economic value for the region. Addressing the audience, investor Mergim Pristina described Oro Verde as a vision that has been developing for years. “From the very beginning, our goal was to create something that respects the natural beauty of Ulcinj, while contributing to its future development. Oro Verde represents an investment in tourism, the local economy and future generations,” said Mr. Pristina. Investor Robert Kvakman highlighted the international partnership behind the project, as well as the trust built through years of cooperation. “What makes this project special is not only its location, but also the people behind it. We believe that Oro Verde will become a place that residents, investors and the wider community will be proud of,” said Kvakman. The audience was also addressed by the President of the Municipality of Ulcinj, Genci Nimanbegu, as well as the Member of the Parliament of Montenegro, Ilir Čapuni, who emphasized the importance of responsible investment, sustainable tourism and further development opportunities for the Municipality of Ulcinj and Montenegro as a whole.

Among the guests at the event was former United States Congressman Jerry Weller, who traveled from Washington, D.C., confirming the growing international interest in Montenegro and its investment potential. As part of its commitment to local community development, Oro Verde recently supported the digitization of the Ulcinj National Library by donating technical equipment, which improved access to educational resources for the local population. During his address, Mergim Pristina paid tribute to the late architect Zaim Nimanbegu, whose vision helped shape the project, announcing an initiative to name the main street within the complex after him, in recognition of his contributions. The ceremony concluded with a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony attended by investors, local officials and project partners, officially marking the start of construction. Upon completion, Oro Verde will offer a collection of luxury residences designed to combine Mediterranean architecture, privacy and a contemporary lifestyle, while preserving the natural character of one of the most beautiful coastal locations in Montenegro.
