Skopje International Airport has won the prestigious Airport Service Quality (ASQ) award for "The Most Pleasant Airport Experience in Europe"
At the ACI Global Traveler Experience Summit held in Istanbul earlier this month, Skopje Airport won its 11th ASQ award, further strengthening its position among European airports with high service standards. The award is presented by Airports Council International (ACI World), the global umbrella association of airport operators, headquartered in Montreal.
The way in which this award is given special weight is given to the way it is awarded. The results of the ASQ program are based on ratings and feedback from passengers themselves. The research evaluates various segments of the airport experience – from the efficiency of check-in and security checks, to signage and terminal navigation, to cleanliness, comfort and the overall passenger experience.
The General Manager of Skopje International Airport, Nedžat Kurt, emphasized that the fact that the recognition comes directly from passengers is an additional confirmation of the quality of services, but also of the work of the employees. “The award comes at a time when the airport is serving a record number of passengers, which further demonstrates the airport's ability to grow and develop while maintaining a high level of service quality,” he emphasized.
The airport in the capital of North Macedonia is operated by TAV Macedonia, a company within TAV Airports and ADP Group.
TAV Airports today provides integrated services in various areas of airport operations, with a presence at more than 100 airports in more than 30 countries. In 2025, the airports in the company's portfolio served a total of 113 million passengers. TAV Airports' majority owner is Groupe ADP (Aéroports de Paris), a French state-owned airport management company.
