While most political actors on the eve of the elections in the capital promise towers and valleys, only the coalition "Jakov Milatović - For a better Podgorica!" presented a comprehensive Vision of a better Podgorica, which all citizens can see on their website (www.zaboljupodgoricu.me).
Led by Luka Rakčević, former deputy mayor, whom many rightly perceived as a realistic mayor in the previous period, they presented the citizens with a detailed plan, with realistic and easily measurable goals, which will permanently transform Podgorica for the better.
IN 100 DAYS: 50 NEW BUSES, FREE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION FOR PENSIONERS, 50% SUBSIDIES FOR EXTENDED STAY FOR CHILDREN, EAST STAND, BOŽANA VUCINIĆ SQUARE, BOULEVARD VOJISLAVLJEVIĆ AND VELJKO VLAHOVIĆ, BASKET OF DOMESTIC PRODUCTS FOR ALL PREGNANT WOMEN...
In their Vision of a better Podgorica, they presented numerous projects and measures that Podgorica has been waiting for for years or decades.
In just 100 days, after assuming power, they will introduce a 50% subsidy for the extended stay of children up to the third grade of primary schools, but also provide snacks for all children in all primary schools in Podgorica.
Guided by the positive example of the French Strasbourg, every pregnant woman in Podgorica will be provided with a weekly basket of domestic products, in order to support future mothers in the most sensitive period of their lives, but also to enable safe placement of products for Podgorica's agricultural producers.
As in the previous year they provided free public transport for all students, they will now do the same for Podgorica pensioners. In addition, they will buy another 50 new buses in order to introduce double the number of lines and reduce the intervals between bus arrivals, because only reliable and regular public transport - public transport can be used.
They will start the construction of Božana Vučinić square (with an underground garage of 349 parking spaces) and the eastern tribune of the city stadium (with a garage of 466 parking spaces), because - as they responsibly claim in that coalition - they have completed the project documentation and want to solve the parking problem in the city center .
Thanks to their efforts, a tender for the construction of Vojislavljević Boulevard has already been announced, but also a credible contractor has been obtained on Veljko Vlahovića Boulevard, so they say that the citizens can take them at their word and that this important project will be completed in just 100 days.
APARTMENT FOR ALL AND THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM
Apartment prices in Podgorica are extremely high and range from 1.700 to even 2.500 euros per square meter, which makes it impossible for most young people and tenants to solve the housing issue.
That is why it is not surprising that the devastating statistics show that young people in Montenegro leave their families late and start an independent life.
That's why the coalition "Jakov Milatović - For a better Podgorica!" presented its affordable housing program, called "Stan za sve!", which entails the construction of a large number of new housing units in Podgorica, which citizens will buy at the cost of construction.
By that calculation, with the exemption of the investor's fee for communal equipment, the price per square meter would be around 900 euros, which would make the purchase of an apartment extremely affordable and acceptable for the majority of citizens of the Capital City.
JUSOVAČA, THE CITY THEATER AND KIC - NEW CENTERS OF CULTURE, PODGORIČANKA THE FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY
In this coalition, they proudly present the Jusovača reconstruction project, for which a tender for the execution of works has already been announced, which after construction will become the epicenter of cultural events and the initial capsule of the transformation of Durres, which has been neglected for too long.
In addition to Jusovača, people from the list led by Rakčević have already prepared a project for the opening of a new, state-of-the-art cinema in Budo Tomović KIC, as well as the reconstruction of the large hall and the summer stage, what will happen to the KIC building, right after the City Theater ensemble moves into its new building , make it a new scene of various cultural contents.
They remind that in this year they doubled the record funds for culture and sports, and that by building this missing infrastructure, the cultural scene of Podgorica will be reborn and will give it a strong impetus.
At the same time, they are preparing a conceptual project for the reconstruction of "Podgoričanka", which will be home to hundreds of start-up companies, as well as a modern gallery space, with a panoramic restaurant on the roof of the building, which will further revive the neglected city center.
PROMOTION ALONG MORAČA, RIBNICA AND BRDO LJUBOVIĆ
In this coalition, they perceive the lowering of Podgorica to the river as one of the key priorities, which is why they have already announced a tender for the construction of a new section of the promenade along the Morača (from the Moscow Bridge to the Millennium), after which they will build a branch of the promenade from the Millennium to the Vizier Bridge.
They point out that the project for the construction of the promenade along Ribinica is in the final stage, and that the tender for the construction of the leg will be tendered from Sastavak to the home of the JNA (of the Music Center) to be announced in the first months of the following year.
With these routes of the arranged promenade along the two most beautiful rivers of Podgorica, the citizens get new public spaces for walking and recreation, but also for various cultural events, which makes Podgorica a better and more beautiful city.
In addition, they will soon start the construction of a promenade along Ljubović, but they emphasize that such a project is not enough, but that it is necessary to protect the surroundings of Ljubović from further devastation and concretization.
NEW KINDERGARTEN, HOMES OF HEALTH AND PRIMARY SCHOOLS
As one of the key problems, they recognize the lack of precisely these facilities, especially in the newer parts of the city - such as the City quarter.
That is why they proudly remind that in the previous period they started the construction of a new health center in Zagorič, but they also criticize the Government of Montenegro for solving this important issue too slowly.
"If the Government is unable to solve this problem, the Capital City will immediately after the election take on this obligation, both in the part of creating project documentation and in the part of possible construction. Our city simply has no more time to waste," said Luka Rakčević.
