On the political scene of Podgorica, the upcoming local elections bring intense dynamics, in which many actors are fighting for the trust of the citizens. On the eve of the elections, the "Još Jače" coalition, which consists of Evropa Sad Democrats, attracted attention with mass meetings in all local communities. Judging by the attendance of events, such as the one in the packed hall of the Verde Hotel, this coalition is emerging as one of the leading candidates for victory in the upcoming elections.
Although the promises of large infrastructure projects and the fight against organized crime are in the foreground, the leaders of these two coalitions raised expectations with other programmatic promises.
In the crowded sports hall of the Verde Hotel, where the coalition's final promotional meeting was held, the leaders of the Europe Now Movement addressed the gathered citizens. Milojko Spajic, the leader of the Democrats Aleksa Becic, first on the election list Even stronger Olivera Injac, member of the Democratic Presidency, Danilo Šaranović and holder of the "winning electoral list in these elections", prof. Ph.D Saša Mujović.
SPAJIĆ: THE COALITION IS EVEN STRONGER BUILDING A BRIDGE BETWEEN PODGORICA AND THE EUROPEAN FUTURE
At the very beginning, the president of PES, Milojko Spajic said that good cooperation between local and central authorities is key for the development of Podgorica. "We cannot have one policy in Podgorica and another at the state level. We must be united about what the future of our city and our country is. That is why it is important that our coalition wins the elections and that we continue to develop Podgorica together," Spajić said.
Speaking about certain important infrastructure projects, he pointed out that a tender has been announced for the contractor for the western ring road around Podgorica.
"In addition, we signed a contract for the design of the high-speed highway Podgorica - Tuzi, which will have a direct connection with the highway Bar - Boljare. It is only one of the 18 sections of expressways and highways that we are working on," said Spajić and added that only the victory of the PES-Democrat coalition guarantees their realization.
BEČIĆ: MONTENEGRO PURIFIED OF THE KAVAČKO AND SKALJAR KLAN IS EVERYONE'S HOMELAND
Democratic President, Aleksa Becic, he described in figures what it looks like when Montenegro reconciles. "Montenegro reconciles when in 10 months you process 600 members of organized criminal groups, solve 95% of committed crimes, solve all crimes against life and limb, process over 400 crimes from economic crime, over 200 from the field of narcotic drugs, over 70 from areas of high corruption. Montenegro is reconciled by strongly and decisively striking the Kavački clan, the Škaljar clan and all other clans and their branches and criminals from Tuzi, Zeta, Beran, and all parts of Montenegro.. By not looking at someone's name, religion, nationality or affiliation, but whether he is a criminal or not a criminal!"
The president of the Democrats pointed out that he and all the officials of the Democrats and PES are just ordinary people who give their best. "We work for a salary and nothing beyond a salary, we fight for every person, we do not divide Montenegro, we unite it, we bring good - good to everyone, and it will be good for those who will succeed us, and that's why I call on all people to help us this time, to be the strongest, to be stronger than on August 30, and on October 23, for Podgorica, for Montenegro!
INJAC: MUJOVIĆ IS THE MAYOR WHO WILL MAKE PODGORICA PROUD OF A FUTURE MEMBER OF THE EU
First on the electoral list, prof. Ph.D Olivera Injac called on the citizens, who together with her forgave some people a lot, not to forgive them on September 29 for deciding to give artificial respiration to the DPS and deciding to go in the wrong direction with them in the coalition. “It's their choice. Our choice is prosperity in Podgorica and that's why we decided that the holder of the "Even stronger" list and the mayor of Podgorica will be Prof. Dr. Saša Mujović. We decided because he is a man who has all the characteristics that a mayor and a leader should possess and protect our city. For Podgorica to be a city to be proud of. A city that is a future member of the EU, a city that will develop and will not stagnate like it did in the previous 30 years", said Injac.
She recalled some bad practices of the former government. "There are no resources that they did not abuse and did not betray, there is nothing that they did not reverse to work for their interests", concluded Injac.
ŠARANOVIĆ: WE WILL FINISH THE MAFIA, BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN PREPARING FOR THIS FIGHT FOR YEARS
Member of the Democratic Presidency, Danilo Šaranović, he recalled only a part of what the representatives of the new government discovered in the first months after the formation of the first democratic city administration in the capital. "First of all, I am thinking of the evidence of the destruction of city property, the enrichment of former city officials, the allocation of apartments, the write-off of millions of debts and much more. But it is important to remind that only these people here spoke about it and filed those criminal charges. Yesterday, our comrades-in-arms and the president elected by our votes admitted that they overthrew the government in Podgorica for one reason only - to destabilize the state government," Šaranović emphasized.
He pointed out that there is no retreat. "There is no going back, because we vowed to fight. There is no going back, because we have to finish off the mafia. There is no going back, because we were preparing for that fight. There is no going back, because we live for that fight and we will bring that fight to the end".
MUJOVIĆ: I LEARNED HOW TO BE THE PEOPLE'S MAYOR FROM THE CITIZENS
The holder of the List had the honor of closing the convention with his speech, Saša Mujović, who pointed out that these are not ordinary elections. "These are the most important elections, because they concern the continuation of reforms, our future and the good of all of us. On the other side, opposite to us, there is a group of people who believe that higher pensions, higher salaries, projects such as Velje brdo intended for young married couples and the greatest intelligence of this country are unnecessary. They believe that 30 years of government was not enough for them to express their potential and capacity, that they are capable of correcting all that in the next 100 days. Dear gentlemen, I was descending on your rope, the rope almost broke!", Mujović had a clear message.
"The elections before us are not only elections for a new administration in Podgorica, but represent a kind of referendum on how we see Montenegro in the future. It is clear to everyone that the opposition is using them as a mechanism to stop the reforms and changes that we initiated," Mujović stressed.
"That's why, respected fellow citizens, go to the polls and, in addition to your city, defend the increase of the minimum wage from 450 to 600 and 800 euros, defend the new increase in pensions, defend the average salary of 1000 euros, new benefits for the economy. Defend all that we have achieved together and that they want to take away from us. Defend your futureMujović pointed out.
"It is already clear that the parties that overthrew the government in Podgorica are ready for unprincipled coalitions with those who chained Montenegro to corruption and organized crime. On Sunday, we will also fight against them", concluded Mujović.

As election day approaches, the "Even Stronger" coalition is showing visible signs of strength, primarily through numerous support from citizens and bold rhetoric. Their commitment to fighting crime and investment in infrastructure projects provide a clear vision for the future.
While other political entities turn to traditional tactics, PES and the Democrats rely on optimism and determination. In the end, the elections in Podgorica can be a turning point not only for this city, but also for the whole of Montenegro, signaling whether the citizens want the continuation of reforms or a return to old habits.
