8 reasons why Bereans should support the Democrats in the upcoming elections:
1. The Democrats are almost the only political party that has not made any political compromise with the DPS or the parties of the former regime since its foundation. This given word was confirmed through 10 years of political activity and the decision adopted at their Congress, by which they undertook not to exercise power with the DPS at either the state or local level.
2. At a time when corruption and crime shook the political scene, the Democrats remained almost the only party whose officials were not suspected, accused or convicted of any criminal offense. The integrity and professionalism of their representatives are rare in the contemporary politics of Montenegro. Not a single member of their parliament or councilor played against the electoral will of the citizens and formed a government with the DPS.
3. Unlike numerous political entities that split and divided, the Democrats remained united. Their leadership brings together people of all faiths and nations, without division on identity issues, thus sending a strong message of unity and reconciliation.
4. They preserved the spiritual identity of Montenegro, valuing all churches and religious communities equally. Aleksa Bečić presided over the session of the Parliament of Montenegro and made a key contribution to amending the Law on Freedom of Religion. At the proposal of the Minister of Culture and Media from the Democrats, at the Government session presided over by the Deputy Prime Minister, Aleksa Bečić, approval was given for the erection of a memorial to the blessedly resting Metropolitan Amfilohi in Berane, thus honoring his work and importance in building the moral values that Berane is proud of. and Montenegro.
5. All municipalities in which the Democrats have a municipal president record progress and stability of the government. Through their proposals and activities, the Democrats directly influenced the infrastructural development of Beran. Thanks to their engagement, 2,6 million euros were secured for the asphalting of 33,1 kilometers of roads, which was a decades-long problem. In addition, they secured 1,11 million euros for four key projects in Berane, namely:
Relocation and regulation of the existing atmospheric sewage channel and relocation of the existing fecal sewage in the Donji Talum settlement.
Construction of fecal sewage for part of the settlement Gornji Lužac.
Construction of a water source with associated infrastructure "Zagradsko Vrelo" in the local community of Polica.
Continuation of the construction of the sewage network with accompanying infrastructure and connection to the main collector in the Coastal settlement.
6. They fulfilled all the promises given to the coalition partners by signing the coalition agreements that they signed, even in situations where it was of no use to them, which they demonstrated, among other things, by the rotation of the government in Budva by handing over the position of mayor of the municipality to Dragan Krapović. However, their coalition partners did not show the same consistency this year, when the time came for the agreed rotation and the arrival of Damjan Ćulafić to the position of president of the municipality of Berane.
7. They are the authors and proposers of laws that significantly improved the standard of the citizens of Beran and Montenegro: they introduced a child allowance for all Montenegrin children, provided free textbooks for all primary school students, returned benefits to mothers with three or more children, raised old age benefits by five times, raised benefits for newborns from 109 to 1.000 to 2.500 euros, compensated former workers of the metal industry and much more.
8. Municipalities where Democrats lead the local government are recognized for their stability and progress. Their management model brings development projects and solves long-standing problems of citizens, which is especially important in Berane for a municipality that has been neglected for too long.
WHY BOŽO PREMOVIĆ?
Božo Premović stands out as a leader who puts concrete results before political fights and entrenched national-primitive divisions, and his successes at the head of Berane confirm that the decision of the Board of Commissioners is correct and that he is the right choice for the President of the Municipality of Berane in the next four-year mandate!
Thanks to Premović's vision and dedication, more than 1.200.000 euros were invested in the agriculture sector. These funds are aimed at improving the lives of citizens and farmers, through a series of strategic initiatives: breeding stock, seedlings, subsidies for harvesting, premiums for bee colonies, greenhouses and solar panels are provided.
Under Premović's leadership, Berane became recognizable for the organization of significant events such as the International Fair of Agriculture, Food and Home Crafts, which grew into a regional brand. Also, the New Year's agricultural bazaar and the event "Harvest Days" were successfully organized, which further promoted local production.
His work is characterized by professionalism and honesty, which is confirmed even by his political competitors. In addition to the achieved results, Premović distinguished himself by conducting a fair and correct pre-election campaign, unlike his political competitors, which showed that his example builds trust in the municipal leadership.
