Dear citizens of Nikšić,
Do you remember what our city looked like four years ago? Empty coffers, debts, unfulfilled promises and divisions. We took over power from the then mayor from the ranks of the DPS, a man who was arrested shortly after for abuse of office. This fact best speaks of the state we found ourselves in. There was only one and a half million euros in the account, three and a half times less than the watches of the honorary, or rather the real president of the DPS are worth. But we had no right to excuses, but an obligation to restore hope, faith and dignity to every citizen.
It wasn't easy. We faced challenges, made bold decisions, and worked nonstop. But every completed project, every concrete result was a clear sign that we were on the right path.
Nikšić 2021 and Nikšić today – it is not the same story. Today Nikšić has stable finances, more than 40 infrastructure projects have been completed, more than 15 new playgrounds, renovated schools and kindergartens, reconstructed streets. We closed the Mislov do landfill – what others have been promising for 30 years, we have done in one mandate. We have fulfilled 90 percent of the 2021 program. And could we have done more and better? Of course we have and we will.

But most importantly, we have shown that government can be responsible, that politics can serve the people, and not the other way around. Unlike the DPS that is fighting for Nikšić today, and which left ruins, we have laid the foundations on which the city can grow and develop.
We have a modern program and a clear plan - to finish what we started and make Nikšić an even better place to live in the next four years.
Our strategy is long-term. We are not building to score political points, but to create a city where people stay, not where they leave.

That is why the key pillar of our program is caring for people. Citizens know well that they have been our focus for the past four years.
We also thought of them when we decided that every newborn child in Nikšić would receive three times more support than before – instead of 100, today it is up to 2000 euros from the Municipality and 2.500 euros from the state. Students received four times more scholarships, because investing in knowledge should not be a privilege.
We have provided families with three minor children with 1.200 euros per year. Those with four or more – 2.400 euros. All elementary school students in our city, in addition to free textbooks and children's supplements, receive free school supplies. But we are not stopping there. In the next mandate, we want to go even further. To enable our fellow citizens to buy an apartment at the cost of construction, because a safe home is a right, not a luxury. We will introduce free transportation for pensioners and people with disabilities.
To keep people here, we want to provide them with secure jobs. That's why the focus is on the economy, employment, investment and family. This is a time of serious development. And we know how, because we have a team and a plan, and most importantly, we have the trust of the people, to continue to work honestly and in their interest.
DPS had 30 years and everything in its hands, and it demolished Nikšić. We had 4 years and difficult working conditions, and we got the city moving.
So now comes the moment of decision. Will we continue on the path of development or will we allow ourselves to be set back? Will we protect what we have built or will we start all over again?
This is not a fight for positions, but for a Nikšić where people stay, not where they leave. For a city that will be a symbol of progress, the pride of all of us, and a place where everyone has a chance for a better life. That's why we don't promise, we guarantee!
On April 13th, circle the number 7, so that we can accelerate progress together - because "WE ARE ALL NIKŠIĆ"!
Nemanja Vuković – the future mayor of Nikšić!
