The request of the Macedonian authorities to the Montenegrin authorities for an explanation regarding the passage of the fugitive Nikola Gruevski through the Montenegrin territory confirms that there is almost no affair in the region in which Montenegro is not involved in some way by offering itself as part of infamous stories, Demos reported.
"Nevertheless, the stunt through the Montenegrin territory of the Macedonian, until yesterday celebrated and victorious statesman and businessman, illuminates another possibly instructive picture. That picture illustrates what statesmen look like when they run away from their country and its laws at the moment when they are left without the propaganda halo of the guardian of statehood and identity. Even the numerous monuments that were erected in Macedonia during Gruevski's time do not help the heroes from antiquity to the modern age when they need to flee to save themselves," the Demos press release states.
The Macedonian prosecutor's office said earlier that they had issued an order to the police to work intensively on discovering the people who helped the escape of the former prime minister, who was sentenced to two years in prison and against whom there are four other court proceedings.
