Last year, the Property Administration spent around 439 euros for renting business premises used by political parties.
According to the data of the Administration, which is headed by Blažo Saranović, last year the most was paid for renting premises used by the Democrats.
About 62 thousand euros were paid for the party premises of the party led by Aleksa Bečić. 58.917 was paid for the party headquarters of the Movement for Change (PzP), while 52.360 euros were spent last year for renting premises in Hercegovačka Street in the center of Podgorica, which is used by the New Serbian Democracy (Nova).
According to the Administration's data provided to "Vijesti", 55.080 euros were spent from the state treasury last year for the party premises of the Socialist People's Party (SNP).
The administration is obliged to pay the rent of business premises to the parliamentary parties every month.
It has this obligation on the basis of the Inter-Party Agreement on the conditions, manner and procedure for providing and using space for the work of parliamentary parties, which was signed in 1993.
The State Audit Institution (DRI) eight years ago, when it audited the operations of the Real Estate Administration, pointed out that the money was paid on the basis of an inter-party agreement and warned that the expenses for renting business lots for the work of parliamentary parties were unfounded, given that the Law on the budget allocates money for their work. It is foreseen that the parties themselves choose the space.
According to the data of the Administration for renting party premises, 30.250 euros were spent on the Bosnian Party last year, while 28.012 euros were paid to the Democratic People's Party (DNP) for rent.
31.68 was paid for the premises used by Demos, the rent for the party headquarters of the Civic Movement URA was 41.635 euros, while the Workers' Party was paid 16.200 euros.
The rent for the premises used by the "Albanians resolutely" coalition amounted to around 23 thousand euros, the Liberal Party 11.940 euros, while last year's rent for the premises used by Positive Montenegro amounted to 25.903 euros. DPS and SDP have party premises in the old government building, which they inherited as successors of SKJ.
