For the first time in Podgorica, today, in the garage of the Delta City shopping mall, the Car, Motorcycle, Nautical and Equipment Fair was opened under the name "Auto Moto Show".
3.600 exhibitors presented themselves on an area of 36 square meters.
Marketing director at "FL Motors" Biljana Ćetković said that such an event was missing in the capital and pointed out that Podgorica, following the example of all large capital cities, should have a fair space not only for vehicles, but also for other types of exhibitions.
"The organizer did a great job, great efforts were made to make the garage look like a car showroom," Ćetković said.
The organizer of the fair, Srđan Filipović, believes that the Auto Moto show is proof that the facility is not that necessary, but that the lack of real fair space represents an additional cost, as the garage had to be completely redone in order to meet the needs of a real fair.
"On the one hand, the space in the garage is large enough, but on the other hand, it is insufficient because the exhibitors would like to present more vehicles," said PR manager of the fair, Amir Arabelović.
He added that this year a step forward was made because the previous two years only the motor fair was organized, while now it is complete with cars and nautical.
"We intended to create something that a big city lacks, something that all big metropolises have," said Arabelović.
He pointed out that last year there were 1.700 people at the motorcycle fair, more than the average visit to Delta City in those days, and that he expects about 5.000 people to visit the three days of this year's fair.
The fair of cars, motorcycles, nautical and equipment will be open until April 26, while on Saturday, at 12 noon, a traditional procession of bikers and friends will start through the streets of Podgorica in front of Delta City.
This year's procession will have a humanitarian character in cooperation with the Association of Paraplegics of Montenegro.
