Members of the Presidency of the Democratic Front (DF) Andrija Mandić and Milan Knežević asked the High Court to return their passports so that they could attend the session of the Parliamentary Committee of the European Union and Montenegro for Stabilization and Association (POSP) in Strasbourg.
Knežević claims that DF MPs received plane tickets to Strasbourg.
"Despite the fact that the regime confiscated our passports fifteen days ago, Andrija Mandić and I were given plane tickets by the General Secretary of the Assembly for the trip to Strasbourg, where the POSP session will be held. We believe that this confirmed that there is full coordination between the President of the Assembly and the High Court to return our passports due to the performance of parliamentary activities. So before the trip, we will address the media from Golubovci airport and introduce them to the positions that we will represent at the POSP session", Knežević told "Vijesta".
The POSP session will be held in Strasbourg on November 14 and 15, and according to "Vijesti" information, the Montenegrin deputies will travel to the session today via flights via Ljubljana and Frankfurt.
Due to the trial for the case known as the "coup d'état", the High Court confiscated the passports of Mandić and Knežević at the request of the Special State Prosecutor's Office.
At that time, it was assessed that DF MPs abroad have "developed personal and social contacts, which they could use in case of escape or hiding".
