Although it may have been a pre-prepared agreement of the coalition partners, which would have demonstrated the "democratic" nature of the coalition, and which would not have fundamentally changed the final decision to reject the citizen's initiative, the Democrats at least do not want to believe that this was the case, and they are still happy about the unique decision of councilor Biram Bar to vote for the citizens' initiative, that party also announced.
They remind that at the last session of the Municipal Assembly of Bar, the ruling coalition voted in three columns - SD was against, DPS and BS abstained, while the councilors of the vice-president of the Municipality of Bar, Radomir Novakovic - Cakana, voted for the citizens' initiative, which envisages the construction of a kindergarten on some another location.
"However, we believe that we must not stop there and that already today, as a sign of protest and obvious major disagreements on this important issue, Biram Bar as a party from the local level must leave the ruling coalition. This moral act, which will of course be followed by resignation to the position of Vice President of the Municipality by Radomir Novaković, will represent a definitive break with those who, despite the huge number of arguments for ZA, dictatorially rejected the citizens' initiative, unequivocally supporting the demolition of the park and illegal construction in the heart of our city," the Bar Democrats said in a statement.
They believe that "with such and in addition to such, no one who cares about himself and the citizens he represents and who elect him, has nothing to ask for".
"Of course, if his intentions are honorable and honest, and in this case we want to believe that they really are," the statement concludes.
