Biography of Steve Jobs published

The first official biography of Steve Jobs, by Walter Isaacson, was published today. The biography is available in print and Kindle editions. The publication of the biography was planned for November 21, but since Jobs recently passed away, the publishers have accelerated the process.

Isaacson said Jobs, who was too weak even to climb stairs in the last weeks of his life, told him he wanted his children to understand and understand who he was.

"He told me that he wasn't with them all the time and that he wanted them to know what he was busy with," Isaacson said, according to the Guardian.

"Jobs worked with us, as did hundreds of his friends, associates, and family members, but he didn't want to have control over the book, nor did he want to read it before it was published. He didn't set any boundaries for us, and he encouraged people he knew to be honest," said Simon & Schuster's publishing house.

Isaacson added that he last visited Jobs a few weeks before his death and found him curled up on the couch in great pain.

Walter adds that Jobs still had a sharp brain and witty remarks. Parts of his memory of the last moments with Jobs Walter will translate into essays that will be published in the October issue of Time magazine.

The biography is available on Amazon in print and Kindle editions. The book is also available in bookstores in China. Many fans of the great visionary waited in line for several hours to get their copy of the authorized biography.
