The American space agency (NASA) has released a stunning tour of the moon in 4K resolution, using data collected by its probe.

This tour offers a fascinating view of the Moon's barren surface and some of its most famous landscapes, such as the 2,500 km wide South Pole-Aitken Basin (SPA), the Taurus-Litrow Valley - the famous landing site of Apollo 17, the Shackleton Crater at the South Pole , Tycho's Crater on the southern side of the Moon, the East Sea on the western border of the dark side of the Moon, and the Aristarchus Plateau, where future research will be conducted.

The video was created thanks to data collected by NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) over a period of nine years, reports b92.

The spacecraft has been studying this celestial body from an altitude of 2009 kilometers since June 50, which means that the new image provides the most detailed views of the lunar surface to date.

Many of the details have never been seen before, writes the Daily Mail.

Among other things, the probe revealed that the lunar world is very dynamic. On average, 180 new craters with a diameter of at least 10 meters formed by asteroids and comets form on its surface every year.
