The course of the Tara River has not been moved due to the construction of the highway, said the Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Pavle Radulović, stating that the works are being carried out in accordance with the main revised project for which the permit was issued.
Today, Radulović, together with the state commission for technical inspection, supervision and experts, visited the construction site of the Bar-Boljare highway.
After visiting the construction site, he told the journalists that the works on the Most Tara 1 and Most Tara 2 buildings are being carried out according to the main revised project for which the construction permit was issued.
Radulović, as announced by the Government, assessed that the events of the past few days "are a natural process at the end of the transition of a society when part of the media and some other parts of society that have been very comfortably living on incendiary topics invent such topics".
He told the journalists that he decided to come to the construction site of the Tara 1 and Tara 2 bridges with his colleagues, although, as he said, there was no need for it, but there was "a frenzy and a campaign of alleged destruction of Tara".
"I also said in the Assembly yesterday that I receive regular reports on the works that are taking place here, and according to those reports, nothing is happening that normally does not happen on construction sites, and then we had this whole scandal," said Radulović.
According to him, it is true that the contractor ignored one part of the measures from the Elaborate on environmental protection.
"The supervision pointed this out to him ten days ago and gave him an appropriate deadline to eliminate the problems, the inspection pointed this out to him three, four or five days ago. On such a facility as the highway, these are natural things," Radulović added.
He recalled a similar case from last year which, as he stated, was not registered by the public. "But the person who was supposed to register registered, so the works were suspended for 154 days. So, situations happen, but nothing happens beyond the project".
"As for the 'diversion' or 'displacement' of the Tara flow - that is complete nonsense," pointed out Radulović.
As he stated, it is a transitional zone of the Tara River, where, according to conventions, it is possible to carry out works, such as in the areas of Mojkovac and Kolašin, coastal fortifications and promenades by the river.
"We listened to a lot of things that I can't explain at the moment," Radulović said, adding that the dust is probably rising due to the fact that the UNESCO Mission is coming to Montenegro next week.
The Network for the Affirmation of the Non-Governmental Sector previously published a drone video showing that due to highway works and bridge construction, the course of the Tara has changed, because, as the NGO said, its bed has been moved.
