The summer tourist season in the National Park (NP) "Biogradska gora" will officially begin on Tuesday, May 1, and the company says that they are ready to welcome nature lovers.
As the director of NP Saša Jeknić said, despite heavy snowfall in April, with the joint effort of all employees, especially the environmental hygiene and protection service, all tourist facilities will be available to visitors.
The prices of all services in NP "Biogradska gora" remained at last year's level. A daily fishing license costs 20 euros. The entrance fee to the park for adults is 1,5 euros, for children XNUMX euros.
The "neighbors" of the national park, residents of Kolašin, Mojkovac and Beran, will pay an annual entrance fee of five euros. A ride on a wooden boat is still eight euros, and an overnight stay in bungalows is 10 euros.
"What is extremely important is that this tourist season we start with new projects and renovation of the tourist infrastructure. The construction of the control and toll booth on Kraljevo kol, which replaced the previous one, which is almost three decades old, is coming to an end. The construction of new sanitary facilities is expected to begin soon. of a new raft as well as the replacement of certain wooden elements on the bridge around Lake Biograd," said Jeknić.
In the NP, he explains, efforts are being made to move cars out of the heart of the rainforest. They are planning to transfer the guests from Kraljevo kol to Biograd Lake by trolley.
"There is parking space on Kraljevo kol, and we plan to get two trains. During the ride to the heart of the rainforest, guests would receive all the necessary information about the national park. With the help of the capital budget for this year, it is planned to get the main water supply project and to call for a tender for the execution of works, as well as the parking area project, which should be fully functional by the end of 2019," said the director of the NP.
He predicts that this year, work will be done on improving the road infrastructure across the Bjelasica mountain, where several water culverts are planned to be installed and the macadam section of the road will be filled.
