Dijana Nunić claims that for three days she waited unsuccessfully for a neurologist to examine her baby at the Children's Hospital, who was sent for hospital treatment due to a febrile attack, i.e. high temperature and suffocation.
Nunić told "Vijesta" that she left the hospital on her own because the neurologist did not show up, after which she waited for the discharge list for almost two and a half months. She also claims that she was only invited at the end of May to come and pick up the discharge list, which was signed by the cardiologist. However, she says the cardiologist never examined her child.
The Clinical Center (KC) did not respond to questions about the objections of the mother of the one-month-old baby.
Nunić told "Vijesta" that on March 11, her baby had a fever and that, around 16 p.m., she had a febrile attack.
"Given that it was the first time I encountered a situation like this, I just wanted to 'revive' the baby, gave it breaths, took out its tongue... I want to bring you closer to how I felt at that moment. After providing help, I headed to the Children's Hospital to save my child...", explained Nunić.
She said that she arrived at the Children's Hospital around 16:30 pm and that she and the baby were placed in Pediatrics B. She claims that her child received some kind of injection and was told that the neurologist would explain everything to her.
"The moment comes when they put me in the room. I entered the room, which is 'meter by meter', there is an old cot and a chair", said Nunić, pointing out that she stood over her child for two days and two nights, because there was no bed. She said that her baby was used to sleeping next to her, to breastfeeding in a lying position and that she somehow managed to do all this, in a small crib, with a needle and an infusion bottle that she had to have in her hand.
Nunić said that she had a doctor's appointment the next day, March 12, and that she couldn't wait to talk to someone and ask what was happening to her baby, as well as what would happen if the attack happened again. Allegedly, she was then told that she would be able to ask the neurologist, who did not show up that day, anything she was interested in.
"On the XNUMXth of March, I waited for the dawn standing and I couldn't wait for the neurologist to come. Again, of course, he's gone. That day and night pass, but I don't get any explanation from anyone, like the mother of an eleven-month-old baby who experienced febrile convulsions for the first time in her life," said Nunić.
She emphasized that on that day she was told that the neurologist was on sick leave and that they did not know when he would return, and that she had to wait...
"That day I left the hospital with the baby, on my own. I would like to mention that no one wanted to instruct me on what to do if there were another attack," said Nunić.
She claims that, after leaving the hospital, she took the child to a private doctor's office, where she was prescribed therapy.
