The Society of Friends of Bokele Heritage has sent detailed information and accompanying illustrations to the World Heritage Committee, the UNESCO World Heritage Center and the International Council for Monuments and Monumental Areas - ICOMOS, informing them in detail about the "very worrying" condition in the part of Kotor, which is under their protection.
They state that "the Government and its authorities have therefore taken several measures, among which is the official introduction of a moratorium on construction in the area of the Bay of Kotor".
"Even though the moratorium has been in effect since March of last year, construction on the ground has not been stopped, as evidenced by numerous open construction sites," the company says, citing the example of projects in Kostajnica.
