After the court's decision to reject the request of the Municipality of Budva that the detained Milo Božović continue to sign official documents in prison, all the conditions have been met to shorten the mandate of the local parliament and to call extraordinary local elections in the fall, said the leader of Budva DPS Milan Tičić.
According to him, the elections are the only logical way out of the abnormal situation in which Budva and its citizens found themselves, after the failed attempt of the Democratic Front to move the office of the president of the municipality of Budva to the prison in Spu.
"It must not be tolerated that in a municipality that represents the central axis of Montenegrin tourism, its arrested president, who is suspected of the most serious crimes, together with his party colleagues, threatens the basic rights of employees, to be paid for their work. The intolerable ease with which the DF rejected our constructive proposal to elect a vice-president or mayor of the municipality from among themselves, and to enable the regular payment of salaries to workers and the functioning of local services during the season, and to open a dialogue about elections in the fall, exposes the depth of the problem. which we live in Budva", said Tičić.
We inform the public, as he adds, in Budva and Montenegro that our committee club will send a request to convene a collegium of the President of the Assembly, at which we will propose signing an initiative to hold an extraordinary session regarding the shortening of the mandate of the Assembly of the Municipality of Budva.
"We call on all political subjects, including DF councilors, to face this new circumstance and to act responsibly in the coming days, and in the best interest of Budva and its citizens," concluded Tičić.
