At the meeting of future government officials in Andrijevica, positions on the eventual selection of a joint candidate or on the modality of rotation for two years were approximated.
This was stated in the statement signed by the coalition Socialist People's Party-Democrats, For the Future of Andrijevica (New Serbian Democracy, Democratic People's Party, True Montenegro, Free Montenegro), Movement Europe Now, as well as two civic lists - "For the Future of Our Children". and "Vasojević unification movement".
This confirmed the writings of "Vijesti" from a week ago.
"The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 15 at 15 p.m., which we hope will result in the harmonization of positions on the future government," the announcement reads.
Negotiations on the formation of the government began immediately after the elections, and representatives of all parties except DPS participate in them.
The formation of a government in Andrijevica requires at least 16 votes of councilors, and therefore the ruling majority at the state level - PES, SNP, Democrats and the parties of the former Democratic Front (DF), which now form the coalition "For the future of Andrijevica", is necessary support or lists "For the future of our children" or the Vasojević unification movement.
Those two lists announced before the start of the negotiations that the SNP and the Democrats could not be in the leading positions. The holders of the paper "For the future of our children" and the Vasojević unification movement, Ivan Radojević and Vesko Raketić, announced immediately after the announcement of the election results that they would not allow the president of the municipality and the local parliament to be from the SNP and the Democrats, "because they have proven themselves in previous years ” when they were in power, and that "they did nothing for the welfare of the citizens of Andrijevica".
After the local elections in 2020, the government in Andrijevica was formed by SNP, New Serbian Democracy (NSD), Democrats and Demos. The position of the President of the Municipality went to the SNP (Željko Ćulafić), and the position of the President of the Municipal Assembly (SO) to the Democrats (Mladen Đukić). However, last year there was friction within the ruling coalition, so the Government introduced forced administration in Andrijevica in March of this year due to the non-functioning of the local administration. In that municipality, a group of citizens for several months last year prevented the holding of the session where the vote on the dismissal of Ćulafić was supposed to take place.
In the local elections held on June 2, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) won 11 mandates, the list of the SNP and Democrats eight, PES four, the lists "For the Future of Andrijevica" (NSD, Democratic People's Party, Prava Montenegro and Slobodna Montenegro ) and "For the future of our children" for three mandates each, and the Vasojević unification movement for one.
