The non-governmental organization (NGO) "Center for the Affirmation of the RE Population - CAREP" invited members of political parties and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) dealing with the issues of the Roma-Egyptian (RE) community to apply for the training that will be held in Bar from 25 until October 27.
"During the training, special focus will be placed on improving the political participation of members of the Roma and Egyptian population through dialogue on interculturalism and cooperation with the aim of better integration of the RE community into society. The training will also be an opportunity to prepare for the Festival of Interculturalism, which will be held in Nikšić, where "Representatives of political parties will sign a memorandum on empowering members of the RE community and their inclusion in political and social life," reads the CAREP announcement.
Applications for the training are open until October 16, and the mentioned non-governmental organization, as stated in the announcement, sent a direct invitation to all political parties operating in the Parliament of Montenegro, at the addresses available on the Internet.
"We have a request - if we accidentally missed some political parties to register and be participants in the mentioned training. The costs of organizing the training, including full board, are covered," the announcement reads.
The training is held within the framework of the "InterKULTURA: Youth against barriers in Montenegro" project, which is supported by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights.
"The goal of this project is to improve the social awareness of young people in Montenegro about the importance of humanistic values, universal human rights, responsibility and the promotion of interculturality. The project will include participants from the southern, central and northern regions of Montenegro, and through a series of educational, cultural and media activities will encourage mutual understanding and cooperation of different social groups, non-governmental organizations, political parties and cultural communities," emphasized the Center for the Affirmation of the RE Population.
