The Budva police arrested Bosnian citizen SM (28), who is suspected of causing serious bodily injury to a man from Podgorica who had previously attacked him.
According to a source close to the police, a Bosnian man, employed as a waiter in a beach bar in Bečići, knocked out a man from Podgorica after he attacked him because of his girlfriend.
"The man from Podgorica, who is physically taller, was drunk that night when he provoked the waiter. They allegedly had an argument over a girl. At one point, the man from Podgorica started at the waiter, who is small and short, but he punched him in the head. "The man from Podgorica fell to the floor and his nose was broken from the force of the impact", "Vijesti" was told.
Members of the intervention unit detained a Bosnian who has been working in Budva for several years.
He was taken to the deputy primary state prosecutor in Kotor, who ordered his detention and qualified it as a criminal offense of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
In the presence of the defense attorney, the Bosnian was heard yesterday by the investigative judge of the Kotor court Spiro Pavićević.
Pavićević told "Vijesta" that the defendant was released to defend himself on bail.
As we learn, a bail of 3.000 euros has been set.
