The Japanese manufacturer Nissan has announced that the new generation of its "Godzilla", the GT-R model, will be the fastest super sports car in the world.
Nissan design director Alfonso Albaisa said that the next GT-R will not only be based on the special version of the GT-R50 that Italdizajn presented at the "Festival of Speed" in Goodwood.
"It will be a special car, it has to be special in itself," Albaisa told the British magazine "Autocar", adding that it has to maintain a visual identity that differs from other cars in the class.
Simply, it will be unique.
It is speculated that the basis of the design will be the Nissan 2020 Vision Concept, with strong, aggressive lines.
However, the new GT-R won't see the light of day anytime soon. Albaisa added that his team is constantly changing sketches and not doing "serious" work yet, until the engine and platform are finished.
