The congress of the Bosniak Party (BS) will be held on July 6th in Podgorica, the party's presidency has decided.
As announced by BS, at the Congress, 371 delegates from all municipal committees, the Women's Forum and the BS Youth Forum will decide on the new program, statute, key political resolutions, as well as the party president and the new Main Board.
"Unlike the previous, IV Congress, held in 2021, when BS was the opposition with three parliamentary mandates, this year's is being held at a time when the party has twice as many (six) mandates in the Parliament and five ministerial positions in the Government of Montenegro. This is clear evidence of the political rise and increasingly strong trust that BS enjoys among citizens," it was announced.
They add that the congress will also be an opportunity for additional personnel strengthening, party rejuvenation, and stronger affirmation of gender equality.
"The process of proposing candidates for delegates and members of the Main Board is already showing strong momentum - numerous new proposals are made by young and educated people, as well as women who want to actively contribute to the further strengthening of the Bosniak Party and the modernization of its activities. The Fifth Congress will be another confirmation that we are always with our people, faithful to the values that brought us together 19 years ago, and ready to translate the constant growth of trust into an even greater contribution and an even stronger commitment to achieving the interests of all peoples, all citizens of Montenegro, and the European future of Montenegro," the BS statement reads.
