ALK Montenegro, part of the ALK Group, donated an ultrasound machine to the Department of Gastroenterohepatology of the Internal Medicine Clinic of the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG).
As announced by the health institution, the total value of this modern device, which is used in gastroenterohepatology as well as general diagnostics, is close to 24 thousand euros.
The Director of ALK Montenegro, Tarik Telaćević, who presented the donation to the Director of KCCG, Aleksandar Radović, said that the company is proud to be able to contribute to the improvement of health services in KCCG.
Telaćević reminded that this was not their first donation and that they had previously had donor activities in the municipality in which they operate.
"The goal of this donation is to support the work of your institution, especially in the segments of diagnostics and patient treatment," said Telaćević.
As he pointed out, by donating a high-quality ultrasound device, they want to strengthen the Department of Gastroenterohepatology and assist the medical staff in providing precise and efficient diagnostics.
"We believe that this equipment will contribute to more efficient work of doctors and better healthcare. We appreciate that responsible business is the foundation of community development, and we believe that initiatives like this are the right path towards creating a better society for all," Telaćević emphasized.
He also called on other business entities to contribute to the community in which they operate by their example.
"ALK Montenegro is part of the international ALK Group, which has existed for 40 years, and has built over 20 million square meters, which has a vision of creating state-of-the-art facilities, with long-term value for customers and investors," said Telaćević.
As he pointed out, ALK Group operates in several countries and in different sectors, and under its umbrella, in addition to ALK Montenegro, it also has ALK Nekretnine, ALK Gradnja, ALK Beton, and ALK Sever.
"The company's mission is to create added value through its projects not only for clients and partners, but also for the wider community," added Telaćević.
Radović said that the donation of the ultrasound device improves treatment conditions for patients with gastrointestinal and hepatic diseases.
"This gesture of support is more than a donation - it is an indicator of solidarity and joint commitment to the health of citizens," said Radović.
He emphasized that every contribution like this encourages them to remain committed to providing top-notch healthcare.
Olivera Sekulić, Head of the Gastroenterohepatology Department, said that this gesture represents an investment in the health of patients.
"The donated device is intended for hospital patients for examinations of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen and other abdominal organs," Sekulić said.
According to her, the examination is completely safe and painless, without radiation, and the patient receives the results immediately.
"The device provides high image resolution and precise detection of changes, which makes it easier for the doctor to make an accurate diagnosis and monitor therapy," said Sekulić.
She thanked the donor and everyone who contributed to obtaining this modern device.
"Given the heavy workload of our Department, there is no need to further explain the importance of this humane gesture, which will help us with better diagnostics, and thus improve our work," said Sekulić.
