Senka Jelić: They held my child for 72 hours without evidence, Mrkulić gave him chocolate bars

The mother of Bojan Jelić (25) from Nikšić, Senka, denied the police statement that her son was guilty of three thefts, which he is suspected of having committed together with fellow citizen Elvis Mrkulić (18).

"They don't have a single proof that my child committed the thefts for which he is suspected. They held my child for 72 hours without any evidence, and only on the basis of about 15 chocolate bars that they found in the refrigerator, which were given to him by Mrkulić. The prosecutor released after 72 hours because he had no reason to keep him," said Senka Jelić and announced that she would sue the police for the groundless arrest of her son.

The Nikšić police arrested Mrkulić and Jelic yesterday on suspicion of having committed two serious thefts and one theft in May.
