Director of KC Zorica Kovačević told "Vijesti" that the case of replacing babies in KCCG is a scandal and an oversight that must not go unpunished.
She said that she is "ready to bear all responsibility" and be dismissed, if the Government deems that there are grounds for it. For this reason, she sent a written statement to the Minister of Health, who will submit the information to the Government.
Someone else's baby was discharged from the maternity ward of the Clinical Center of Montenegro yesterday with its mother. The management of the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) filed a criminal complaint against the nurse. The institution announced that they had reasonable suspicions that it was sabotage and not an accidental omission.
Kovačević emphasized that she received information from the director of the Clinic about how and what happened. She confirmed that the nurse, against whom a criminal complaint was filed, went on sick leave yesterday. Kovačevića pointed out that this case casts doubt on everything that KC does, explaining that the nurse has two decades of experience and did not follow clear protocols.
