The good strategic position of Cetinje, valorized through the strengthening of the overall infrastructure and the creation of new jobs, will provide a better life for the citizens of the Capital, it was assessed at the meeting of Prime Minister Duško Marković and the delegation of the Capital of Cetinja, led by Mayor Aleksandar Kašćelan.
Congratulating November 13 - Day of the Capital City of Cetinje, Marković emphasized the Government's support for the development of the municipality, but also pointed out the necessity of strengthening fiscal discipline at the local level.
"The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to make additional efforts in order to consolidate local finances and collect taxes and reduce the gray economy, especially in the field of tourism. The fact that this year the number of unemployed citizens of Cetinje decreased by almost 400 was praised. The meeting also discussed the realization of capital projects such as the construction of the Football Stadium, the complex of facilities of the Academy of Arts, Njeguši Square and the continuation of solving the issue of water supply in Cetinje and local road infrastructure. For a total of 32 projects, the Capital Budget for 2018 for Cetinje planned funds in the amount of 5.541.000 .XNUMX euros," the Government's announcement states.
As it is added, speaking about the budget for the next year, Marković pointed out that it will be focused on development, limiting spending to only what is really necessary, and that next year, Cetinje and the whole of Montenegro must be a serious construction site.
"Kašćelan and his colleagues, the President of the Assembly of the Capital Maja Ćetković and the head of the Mayor's Cabinet Dejan Lučić, expressed their satisfaction with the support they receive through the Law on the Capital, which enabled them to invest in the equipment of local companies and thereby achieve savings. Additional support, as he said Marković, can also expect through the new Law on Local Self-Government Financing, which is being prepared. Marković concluded that the support and partnership of the Government and the Capital remain indisputable, but that the goal is to turn possibilities into reality," concludes the Government announcement.
