Chinese electric vehicle giant BYD increased production by nearly 200.000 units from August to October.
At the same time, it employed close to 200.000 new workers in the production of cars and components, said Executive Vice President He Žigi.
BYD recorded an 11,5 percent increase in net profit in the third quarter as it maintained strong sales momentum, reports SEEbiz.
Revenue for the July-September period rose 24 percent year-on-year to 201,1 billion yuan ($28,24 billion), marking BYD's first clear quarterly revenue win over Tesla since the Chinese automaker stopped making vehicles with a gasoline engine in 2022.
