The Indian company Mahindra has presented two new electric coupe-SUV models, which stand out for their modern style and advanced technological features, with the announcement that they will appear at Indian dealers next year.

Both of these electric vehicles, named BE 6e and XEV 9e, are very similar in shape to the concepts shown two years ago, reports Autoblog.rs.

The SUVs have an identical wheelbase of 2775 mm, but occupy different segments due to the 419 mm difference in length. The XEV 9e is larger, measuring 4790 mm long, while the BE 6e measures 4371 mm.

On the inside, the BE 6e features a fighter jet-inspired cockpit with dual 12,3-inch screens, joined by an Augmented Reality Head Up Display. Other features include Tron-inspired ambient lighting on the center console, seats reminiscent of gaming chairs and door strips with "pull to open" lettering. The trunk has a capacity of 455 liters, with an additional 45 liters in the front part, reports Autoblog.rs.

On the other hand, the XEV 9e has a more luxurious setup with triple 12,3-inch screens, an illuminated panoramic sunroof, more premium materials and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos. Its elongated rear overhang allows for more interior space, including a 665-litre boot and 150-litre front boot.

Both models, writes Autoblog.rs, use Mahindra's new INGLO electric architecture, with rear-wheel drive. The electric motor has 170 kW/231 hp or 210 kW/286 hp, depending on the version. The most powerful versions accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6,7-6,8 seconds.

LFP batteries have a capacity of 59 kWh or 79 kWh, probably from the Volkswagen Group. The highest option offers a range of up to 533 km for the XEV 9e and 550 km for the BE 6e, measured according to the WLTP protocol. When connected to a 175 kW fast charger, the battery can be charged from 20-80% in less than 20 minutes.

Equipment includes seven airbags, level 2 ADAS, 360-degree cameras, blind spot monitoring and remote parking.

The Mahindra BE 6e in India starts at a price of (converted) US$22.400, while the larger XEV 9e is slightly more expensive, starting at US$25.900.

As for deliveries, they are expected to start in February or March 2025.
