South Korean automaker Hyundai will invest $21 billion in the United States over the next four years, company CEO Chung Eui-sun said at the White House today.
He made the statement in the presence of US President Donald Trump.
This announcement includes the development of a foundry in Louisiana, which will be invested in $5,8 billion.
The foundry will be "the first Hyundai has ever built in the United States," Trump said, adding that "this investment is a sign that tariffs are really working."
