Two people were arrested in Bar on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of illegal crossing of the state border and people smuggling.
The police announced that NR (22) from Cameroon and SR (41) from Bar were arrested.
"Acting on operational data available to the border police, police officers found four foreign nationals in a rented apartment in the Bar area who were suspected of having been misled and deceived by two unknown persons. It was suspected that they were damaged in exchange for illegally crossing the state border paid 1000 euros to unknown persons," the police announced.
It is suspected that the suspects organized their transportation from Bar to the border with the Republic of Croatia.
"There they also hired a third, for now unknown person whose identification is being worked on, who left them near the border and moved away in an unknown direction. The state prosecutor in the ODT in Bar was informed about the event, who ordered that the suspect be deprived of freedom due to the suspicion that they have committed the above-mentioned criminal offense," the police announced.
The suspects were detained for 30 days and taken to ZIKS.
