The Special State Prosecutor's Office expanded the investigation into the attempted terrorism on the day of the 2016 parliamentary elections. This was confirmed to "VIjesti" television from the Special Prosecutor's Office. The investigation has been expanded to include eight foreign nationals, who are considered close associates of former CIA operative Joseph Assad, who refused to testify in the case of attempted terrorism.
They are: Ladislao Carballosa, John Joseph Di Paolo, R Schot Rivas, Jorge Miyar, Yoram Frig, Metheos Constantinou, Roony Khoshaba Youkhana Al-Belaty and Reny Khoshaba Youkhana Al-Belaty.
The eight are charged with the criminal offense of "creating a criminal organization" and the criminal offense of "attempted terrorism by aiding and abetting".
Their role was to prepare and provide logistics for the members of the Democratic Front after entering the Assembly.
