Postponed trial of Safet Kalić's lawsuit: The mechanical expert did not appear at the hearing

Mechanical expert Dragan Čarapić did not appear at the hearing, which is why his statement was postponed due to the remarks of the prosecutor Mersudin Kalić and the Protector of State-Property Interests, which they had on the damage assessment of the off-road vehicle "Hummer", which was temporarily driven by the police.

Judge Dijana Rovčanin clarified that Vejštak will also declare in writing the objections of the parties to the proceedings, and the next hearing is scheduled for February 26. Čarapić estimated that Kalić lost more than 20.000 euros during the time the state managed his "hammer".

This can be concluded from his findings and opinion, in which he determined that the damage to the vehicle during the time it was temporarily confiscated amounted to 4.877 euros, while the vehicle lost its value by 16.053 euros.

Kalić is suing the state and the Property Administration for compensation for the "hammer" which, as they say, was returned to them destroyed after they were acquitted of charges of money laundering.

State representative Sanja Jaredić previously said that she opposes the findings of the expert, pointing out that he did not support the claims in the conclusion with any evidence.
