Officers of the Police Administration - Security Center Nikšić, undertaking continuous activities aimed at finding firearms in illegal possession of citizens, found and confiscated a large amount of weapons and ammunition.
By searching the apartment and other premises used by RV (39) from that city, the Nikšić police found and seized a 48 mm caliber "Crvena Zastava M-7,9" rifle and a bullet.
As reported by the police, in a separate case, the vehicle control on the Nikšić - Vilusi road controlled a car driven by NV (31) from Nikšić, and on that occasion confiscated a 12mm "Red Zastava" hunting rifle.
In addition, the officers of CB Nikšić searched the house and other premises used by RR (53) from Nikšić.
During this search, the police found and confiscated:
- semi-automatic rifle cal. 7.62,
- "Zastava" brand hunting carbine cal. 8x57 mm,
- "Hatsan" model 85 air rifle,
- 32 pieces of ammunition of different calibers,
- six electric capsules and two detonating rods,
- semi-automatic rifle knife and
- the so-called telescope – a metal stick.
"The incident was reported to the competent prosecutor, who ordered that RR be deprived of his liberty and brought to his custody with a criminal charge due to the well-founded suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials," the Police Directorate announced.
The Nikšić police also searched the house and other premises used by N.Č. (26) from Nikšić, and on that occasion an disassembled semi-automatic rifle was found and confiscated, as well as 32 pieces of ammunition and a detonator stick. The competent prosecutor was informed about the event.
Confiscated weapons, ammunition, explosives and other items were sent to the Forensic Center for expert examination.
