A man from Podgorica arrested, set fire to a fellow citizen's car?

Stefan Stefanović (20) from Podgorica was arrested on suspicion of setting fire to the vehicle of fellow citizen MM (35) on February 18.

The Police Administration announced that the arrested person is considered a security person of interest.

"Podgorica police, after being informed that there was a fire on a VW Golf VII vehicle owned by MM (35) from Podgorica, went to the scene and conducted an on-site investigation in the presence of experts for fires, explosions and breakdowns. The responsible prosecutor was also informed about the event. Through investigative measures and actions and criminal processing of the scene, the police came to suspect that the fire was deliberately caused, i.e. that the car was previously doused with a flammable liquid - gasoline and then set on fire. The vehicle was completely destroyed as a result of the fire." , the police announced.

The arrested person, it is added, was brought to the prosecutor's office with a criminal report on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of destroying and damaging someone else's property.

"After the suspect was taken to the investigating judge of the Basic Court in Podgorica, that judge ordered him to be detained, after which the SS was taken to ZIKS," the police announced.
