Bar: 500 packs of cigarettes and a hunting rifle were confiscated, two people were arrested

In Bar, the police confiscated about 500 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps and arrested ZB (43) and Z.Ć. (58) from that city.

They are suspected of having committed the criminal offense of smuggling, and one of them is also suspected of the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials.

"On April 10, 2019, the officers of the CB Bar and the Department, acting on operational data from the duty-free zone of the Port of Bar, stopped two vehicles and carried out their control. The search of the vehicles driven by ZB (43) from Bar and Z.Ć. (58) ) from Bar, police officers found and confiscated about 500 boxes of various tobacco products without excise stamps, which are reasonably suspected to have been intended for supplying the gray market of Montenegro. In addition, during the search of the vehicle driven by ZB, the police found and confiscated a hunting rifle in illegal possession," the Police Administration announced.

The state prosecutor in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bar was informed about the event.
