The higher prosecutor's office in Podgorica has not yet been delivered the autopsy report made after the murder of Kotor resident Vesko Vukotić, the prosecutor's office told "Vijesti".
"In the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, a case was opened regarding the murder committed to the detriment of VV, and the prosecutor, together with authorized police officers, conducted an on-site investigation, from which all traces were excluded, which were submitted to the Forensic Center for expert examination by order of the prosecution. An order was made for the autopsy of the body, the findings have not yet been submitted, and proposals were also submitted to the investigating judge of the High Court in Podgorica for the adoption of certain orders, while other necessary actions will be taken in the further course of the procedure, all with the aim of elucidating the criminal offense. ", the spokeswoman of that prosecution, senior prosecutor Lepa Medenica, replied to "Vijesta".
They did not answer whether in the investigation of the murder of the father of the alleged leaders of the Skaljar criminal clan, Jovan and Igor Vukotić, they questioned four alleged members of the Kavača criminal clan from Nikšić, close to the high-ranking member of that clan, Duško Roganović.
It was not answered whether the statement was taken from that Novljan, who lost both his legs, his father and his uncle's brother in the war of the Montenegrin criminal clans.
Allegedly, the inspectors interrogated dozens of members of the Kavac criminal clan, but none of them were detained after giving a statement to the inspectors.
Vesko Vukotić was killed on April 20 in the Dobrota neighborhood of Kotor, in front of the "Vukotić" family apartments.
The executioner approached him as he was leaving the "audi" he used to park in front of the apartment around 20:45 p.m., fired several shots at him, and then fled on foot towards the Sveti Stasije settlement.
He lost his life in the continuation of the war between the Skaljar and Kavak criminal clans, which has been raging for the fifth year. More than 30 people were killed in that war. Among those killed are at least five accidental victims.
Yesterday, the police seized footage from the surveillance cameras that recorded the murder, but allegedly not the image of the executioner hidden by the cap. One of the surveillance cameras was placed on the light pole next to which Vukotić parked. The video allegedly shows the killer crossing the street, shooting Vukotić in the upper body, and then running away.
The police did not disclose the details of the killing of the sixty-nine-year-old, nor whether they arrested the members of the Kavaka criminal clan, allegedly led by Radoje Zvicer and Slobodan Kašćelan, who is in prison, after the murder.
Six years ago, an explosive device was thrown in front of the house of the murdered Vukotić, but no one was injured then. It was speculated that he was the target on April 16, 2016, when shots were fired at a black Mercedes driven by Nenad Popović in the Kavač neighborhood. Allegedly, Popović's car was broken by mistake, because Vukotić was driving an identical one.
The police recently mentioned the murdered Vukotić in an official statement, claiming that in May 2016 he was in the car with his son, when Jovan allegedly tried to kill Tamara Zvicer, Radoj Zvicer's wife. Shots were fired in her direction on May 23, 2016.
After the shooting, she publicly accused Vukotić of shooting in her direction in the presence of her father. Vukotić denied this, claiming that he was in Slovenia that day.
Then he submitted his passport to the editorial office of "Vijesti" which confirms his statement.
Jovan Vukotić is in a Belgrade prison, where he is serving a fifteen-month sentence for forging documents.
His brother Igor, who is on the run, is suspected by the prosecution of having formed a criminal group with Ranko Radulović from Nikšić and Albanian citizen Erogen Brajović, which planned more liquidations.
